Kilns are used to manufacture ceramic items. Kilns are basically ovens in which the temperature can be maintained at a high level. They are essential to the production of ceramic products, which require high temperatures to be processed. When ceramic items are fired in a kiln, a chemical process takes place. During this process the ceramic product undergoes chemical and physical changes. The soft clay is altered into a hard, porous and brittle ceramic. A ceramic kiln comprises of many parts like conveyors, insulators etc. The various parts are bought separately and then assembled together.
